Warning. This blog contains some spoilers so if you are currently reading this book or just don't want to know the ending, don't read!!!!!!!!!!!!
So at the moment, I am reading "Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins. It is the second book of the series. Katniss and Peeta have just come back from the 74th Hunger Games as winners. There was only supposed to be one winner, but the capitol decided not to. Since then, Katniss has caused a rebellion (up rise) in one of the districts (8). She has to show what is then Paneem (North America) that she is truly in love with Peeta. That is very difficult because she may or may not really be in love with him. The quarter quell is coming up and the capitol has decided to do some thing different. They will pick the names of those to compete from the pool of victors. Katniss knows that since she is the only female victor from District 8, she will defiantly be picked. But she doesn't know who the male will be since there is Peeta and Haymitch (their mentor). The capitol picks Peeta which means that he and Katniss will be competing in back-to-back Hunger Games. After much fighting, both of them come out alive, but Peeta is very unsafe in the hands of the Capitol.
I hated the ending of the book because it was a cliffhanger. The last line (to refresh your memory) was Gale saying "Katniss, there is no District 12. The next book will come out in August, but I don't think I can wait that long! By the way, if you have no idea what I am talking about, you might want to read the first book "The Hunger Games" Well that's it for now so bye!!!!!

Marked:A House of Night Novel
So I just finished reading "Marked" by P.C. and Kristin Cast. It is part of a series which I have also read but I don't advise reading any of the other books before the first one. Zoey is a 16 year old girl has gets marked by a vampyre. She has to leave her family and the life she used to live in order to survive as a vampyre. Zoey finds that she is very well liked by the Goddess Nyx, who gives her more attention then she wanted at her new school The House of Night. Zoey finds herself a loyal group of friends who are Stevie Rae, Damien, Shaunee, and Erin. She then finds herself being thrust into a group of girls whose motives aren't exactly pure. These girls abuse their power and position and putting innocent people and vampyres in danger. Zoey must now come to realize her advanced gifts and learn to like herself just the way she is.
I love this book so much. My mom got it for me while I was at camp last year. The Cast's are very good at writing books, especially fantasy/romance. There are six books currently out with the seventh coming out in April. Those books are "Marked", "Betrayed", "Chosen", "Untamed", "Hunted", and "Tempted". I am reading the last book after having read the previous books. I give this book and this series 5 out of 5 stars.

Handle with Care
So just like I promised, my next blog is about "Handle with Care" by Jodi Picoult. When the Charlotte and Sean O'Keefe's daughter Willow is born with a rare disease called osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), they are heart broken as Willow will suffer hundreds of bone breaks through her lifetime. Charlotte thinks that she has found a way to cover Willow's medical bills by filing a wrongful birth lawsuit against her obstetrics and gynecology for not telling her that Willow would be born disabled. But if she does that, Charlotte will have to get up in a court of law and say that if she knew about the disability, she would have had an abortion that Willow would hear. Being Christian, this would be a very big deal for Charlotte. Along with the possible lawsuit, she also has to deal with a Spoiler Alert possible divorce and a teenage daughter who is bulimic and cuts her self. Plus, the ob/gyn she might sue is also her best friend, Piper.
This is a very good book. I would give it 5 out of 5 stars for this amazing piece that Jodi Picoult has done. Along with all of the other books, this book is written in different characters perspectives. I think that it must have been really hard for Jodi Picoult to write about such a hard topic like abortion. This book also has some recipies scattered through the chapters that looked really good. This was also a really sad book for many reasons. But................... I'm not telling you because that would ruin the book. So read the book to find out what happens to the O'Keefes.

My Sister's Keeper
So I bought the fabulous book called "My Sister's Keeper" by author Jodi Picoult. This book tells the tale of a 13 year old girl named Anna. Anna's older sister Kate has a rare type of leukemia called APL. Ever since she was born, Anna has had to donate organs and blood to help keep Kate alive. Hence the title: My Sister's Keeper. This is all fine with Anna until one day her mother asks her to donate a kidney to Kate. Anna doesn't like this so she goes to a lawyer named Campbell Alexander and sues her parents for medical emancipation (right's to her own body).
I think that this book is perfect. The only thing that I would change is the ending. (SPOILER ALERT) I do not like how Jodi Picoult ends the book with a car accident. Most people would think that the book would end with Kate dying. Since she doesn't, Picoult must have wanted some twist (irony) for the end. So she made Anna die. It was the saddest part of the entire book. So sad that I started to bawl. :-(
Other then that, I would recommend this book to anyone who wants some drama and some comedy in their books. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you like this book, you may also be interested in any of the other books by Jodi Picoult including "The Pact" and "Handle with Care". I am currently reading the second book mentioned and that will be my next blog. If I don't forget. So come back soon for the blog on "Handle with Care"

The Mysterious Benedict Society
The Mysterious Benedict Society written by Trenton Lee Stewart is about four children (George "Sticky" Washington, Kate Wetherall, Reynie Muldoon, and Constance Contraire) who become members of and elite group that they name The Mysterious Benedict Society. In order to become part of this group, the children must take a very challenging test. Along with that, they were told to follow very specific instructions such as bringing only one pencil. They also had to arrive precisely on time and if they are late, they would not be able to take the test. The children are sent on a mission to defeat the evil Mr. Curtain and save others from his invention called the Whisperer.
I think that this book is excellent and very suspenseful. Stewart makes this book so irresistible to put down that I could read this in one sitting. With it's thrilling appeal and suspenseful chapters, this book is certainly one of the best books I have ever read. If you are fans of Roald Dahl, you will surely love this book. I give this book 4 out of 4 stars. Be sure to look for the sequel The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey and the prequel The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner's Dilemma.
